Why we teach kids about Blockchain

Blockchain and what it stands for in the foreseeable future generation.

Most educational systems were founded in a time when “learning” meant “memorization.” Today, however, we live in an exponentially changing world in which success demands creativity and innovation. Unfortunately, innovation is still not a valued learning objective in most schools today. Increasingly, we see the design process being used for adults, but where is the design process for kids?

Bringing blockchain to the classroom seems like the logical next step. As students strive to enter careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), blockchain technology could very well represent one of the biggest emerging fields by the time they are transitioning through pre-school, elementary school, middle school, high school and universities.

The Cameroon Blockchain Business Council (CBBC) has for the first time in Africa developed the NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK PROGRAM which is a new Blockchain awareness program for schools and educational Institutions to introduce the technology to the next generation of youths in schools and educational platforms. Our programs will cut across personal finance habits to design thinking and will definitely include lessons and solutions about the Blockchain technology itself.
